Summer: Sonnet Poem

Summer

Days and nights filled with extremely hot air

Sweat dripping down my body everyday.

School is almost finished when we hit May,

It's not time to hibernate like a bear.

Fortunately, I won't face the sun's glare

Because I'll be in Korea to play,

Two months of free time will be good vacay

Sitting at the park with a juicy pear.

Days filled with laughter and entertainment

Nights filled with gaming and delicious foods

It is during summer time when I heal

This hot season makes me have no movement.

The perfect time to catch up with my dudes.

It is time to kick back and keep it real.

I picked this poem because I felt proud of this poem that I wrote this poem with assigned rhyme schemes and meter of a sonnet. This poem mainly talks about how much we enjoy summer vacation and explains how hot summer is. I like this poem because I was looking forward to summer break coming.
